Estate Planning, Trusts & Estates

At Baird Holm, our goal is to apply our expertise and years of experience to help our clients meet their unique family and business planning objectives in an efficient manner. We recognize that each client deserves an individualized strategy for estate planning. Our approach entails teamwork, working with our client's advisors and other Baird Holm attorneys as needed. Our practice encompasses all aspects of estate planning, succession planning, trust and estate administration, charitable entities, trusts and foundations, special needs trusts, guardianships, conservatorships, tax controversies, and all other wealth transfer and wealth preservation services.

We typically represent individuals who are seeking estate planning, tax planning, transactional work, and certain forms of family law advice. We have represented owners of closely held businesses, business executives, and farmers and ranchers, in matters such as estate planning, tax planning and family succession planning, and the utilization of trusts and business entities. We also represent the fiduciaries who administer the various entities that are part of our client's plan, in estate and trust administration matters, including court proceedings and federal estate, gift and income tax compliance and controversies.

Among our attorneys you will find members of the American College of Trust and Estate Attorneys, American College of Tax Counsel, National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and other industry groups such as the Omaha Estate Planning Council. Many of our attorneys are also listed in The Best Lawyers in America and Chambers USA. Our attorneys regularly speak at industry seminars, legal education groups, and to the general public regarding estate planning, trusts and estates issues.
